Auve Tech MiCa autonomous shuttle: figure-8 calibration motion and sensor fusion

Auve Tech builds MiCa, an autonomous shuttle bus that carries 15 camera and lidar sensors.

The video opens on camera footage of MiCa driving the figure-8 calibration motion for Calibration Anywhere. A wipe transition then reveals colorized lidar and a model of the shuttle: a smooth shuttle-shaped bounding box with the poses of all 15 sensors illustrated.

The model moves exactly where the physical bus moves in the camera image. As the wipe travels across the frame, half the vehicle is the real bus and half is the model, and the two are in perfect agreement, showing that the estimated vehicle pose matches the video.
