Calibration Anywhere
Calibration Anywhere is a automatic sensor calibration software that generates extrinsics, intrinsics, and time offsets for all sensors attached to a system (robot, vehicle, drone, etc).
The software works in any environment, without checkerboards or targets.
The software can be deployed in the cloud as a managed remote service, in a Docker container that runs offline on the system or other server (which does not require sensor data to be sent to MSA), or in a snap container or library that runs as an online background process. How to use Calibration Anywhere
Using Calibration Anywhere is easy:
- Collect sensor data while the system is moving in a calibration motion
- Provide the sensor data to the software (via cloud or Docker)
- Get the calibration result
How Calibration Anywhere works
Under the hood, Calibration Anywhere does the following:
- Builds a map of the scene and localizes to the map
- Identifies scene features from multiple observation poses
- Determines optimal extrinsics, intrinsics, and time offsets
